YouTube is now allowing creators to save music from the Shorts feed, making it easier to reuse audio from Shorts in other applications. With the new “Save Music” option directly accessible from the Shorts interface, you can add audio to your selected sounds folder.

Previously, creators had to use workarounds to save music from Shorts, but this update aims to simplify the process and enhance engagement with music clips from Shorts content.
This update could boost music discovery and offer creators a new way to create unique content using audio cues. Music has played a significant role in TikTok’s success, so it makes sense for YouTube to capitalize on this element as well.
Earlier this year, YouTube also introduced music remix options for Shorts, further emphasizing its commitment to integrating music into its platform.
Additionally, YouTube will now offer recommendations in the “Inspiration” tab of YouTube Studio in three new languages.

YouTube introduced the Inspiration tab in English back in June, and now it will also offer this feature in Japanese, Korean, and Hindi.
The Inspiration tab, formerly known as the “Research” tab, now offers AI-driven content suggestions. Creators can enter a topic into the search bar, prompting YouTube’s AI to provide ideas and notes tailored to what might interest their viewers. Additionally, it can generate a bullet-point video outline to help guide your content creation if you’re unsure what to post next.
YouTube is also launching a new desktop extension for creators in its shopping affiliate program. This tool allows creators to save products and compare commission rates while browsing on Chrome, offering a streamlined way to manage and integrate product listings into YouTube videos. Finally, YouTube has added new resources to the YouTube Help Center under the “Creator Tips” tab.

The Creator Tips section on YouTube now features a range of guides and advice on different aspects of channel management. Recent additions include content on creation, discovery, and monetization strategies. It might be worth exploring for those looking to enhance their YouTube presence and optimize their channel performance.
